From our Founder

"We are ambassadors of the City of Venice, not only for its magnificent museums but also for its Lagoon and its nature at large. That is why, in times like these, I am so happy that Friends of Venice is now collaborating closely with Venice Gardens Foundation.

Our commitment has remained towards restorations and our mission to preserve and protect the City’s heritage, but also to try to raise awareness of Venice’s green spaces which are complementary to water, the element that has always defined Venetian identity, its challenges, culture and creativity. Venice has an extraordinary history while simultaneously having a contemporary and innovative identity, thus we believe that it is important for both present and future generations to preserve and foster it".
